Independent referral service connecting Pahrump property owners with licensed local roofers

Roofing FAQ

The questions we hear most from Pahrump homeowners about leaks, repairs, re-roofs and choosing a contractor.

How does PahrumpRoofer.com work?

We're an independent advertising and referral service. When you call or submit a request, it goes to a participating independent roofing contractor serving the Pahrump Valley. That contractor inspects, quotes and performs any work. We don't do roofing work ourselves.

What license should a Nevada roofer have?

Roofing is licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board. NAC 624 lists classification C-15 (roofing and siding), with subclassification C-15a for roofing. Spray polyurethane foam and coatings fall under C-36. Verify any license at nvcontractorsboard.com.

Why don't you show prices?

Roof costs depend on size, pitch, material, how many layers come off, and the condition of the deck. A number without an inspection would be a guess. Participating roofers give you a written estimate after looking.

How long does a roof last in Pahrump?

That depends on the material, installation quality, ventilation and maintenance. Strong sun, heat and wind are hard on roofing materials here. Ask a roofer to assess your specific roof rather than relying on a rule of thumb.

Should I get a roof inspection before buying a home?

It's a smart move, especially for older homes or tile roofs, where the underlayment can't be seen without lifting tiles. See our roof inspection page.

Do I need a permit for a new roof?

Ask your contractor. In Pahrump, building permits are issued by Nye County Building & Safety, and the licensed contractor usually pulls any permit that's required.

What should I do if my roof is leaking during a storm?

Contain the water, keep people out from under any sagging ceiling, turn off power to wet fixtures at the breaker, and call. Don't go up on the roof in the rain.

Will my information be shared?

Only with the participating contractor handling your request, so they can contact you. See the Privacy Policy.
